Commission Policy
I enjoy undertaking custom work. If you have any ideas or requests, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss them.
I always ask for a 25% deposit (for commissions not placed through the Etsy shop) before I start work. This is non-refundable and taken off the final total.
For orders placed via Etsy the full amount will be charged upfront (although a refund minus a 25% deposit can be arranged should there be a problem).
All commissions take a different time period. I will communicate with you throughout the process and provide regular updates if requested. You will have the option to review the piece before it is sent out. (I can, of course keep the whole thing a surprise if preferred).
The artist retains copyright and the right to use images of the finished piece, unless ownership is discussed and included in commission price.
Pet Portraits
Every portrait is completely unique. I always try my hardest to capture the personality of the pet, while also giving you a beautiful piece of art.
I can use various media for your portrait including graphite, coloured pencil, ink and paint.
Portraits usually take a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks to complete. Sometimes they can take longer (e.g. paintings or during busier periods like Christmas) so please be patient. I need the time to make sure your portrait is just right for you. If you need your portrait completed by a specific time please let me know in advance.
Every portrait is of one subject as standard and doesn't include backgrounds or other subjects. If you want to include these an extra charge will apply.
When placing an order for a pet commission I will ask for at least one, good quality photo of them. You're more than welcome to provide a few if you're not sure which to choose. It all helps to capture the character.
